end of April updates

GOD IS GOOD!!!!

Praise God for the wonderful rains. We got almost 3 inches the last 2 weeks. The grass is green, the horses are muddy, and the chickens are busy with bugs.

Due to the swine flu drama we have canceled the church yard sale planned for Saturday. I will be here, if you plan on coming out, please call my cell phone. 515 0603

Champ and Princess are settling in. We are looking for a home for Princess, I told Leroy that I would not have 4 horses of my own. 3 is plenty. and it seems best to try and keep just geldings. If any one has an idea about her future, please let me know. Here is her picture from 2 weeks ago. She has filled out some and is losing that winter hair. The birds will have blond hair in their nests!

Roy will be here next week to do the horses shoes. Jim lost one the other day because he got caught in the fence. It's time anyway.

I am not working until May 11th because the preschool shut down until then. We are cleaning everything there so that it will be ready when we get back.

the 10 baby chicks are all doing well. there is now one more hen on a nest. Her babies should hatch May 20th or so.

Have a blessed day!!

They're HERE!!!

GOD IS GOOD!!!!

we went to Stockdale and got our newest additions yesterday. today we brushed them and led them around the yard. Champ is very attached to Princess, so we will have to work on that. They saddled well, and were happy to be brushed for a long time today. I didn't try any bits, but it looks like they will remember how to act under saddle and will adjust well to us. I told Leroy that we would only keep 4, so in a few weeks we will have to make a decision about which 4 to keep. You all know that I am not a fan of mares, mostly becasue the boys don't think with level heads when there are girls around. They all want her attention and forget about people! Here's a picture of Champ.

then, this afternoon, Madison and I rode Jim and Bandit over in the fields across the street. that is our first time to go, just the 2 of us, and her with total control over Bandit. They did very well, of course, Madison prayed before we even got on! Thank You, Lord Jesus!

We will do a short ride on Saturday morning. I have to go to church to help prepare the Seder meal. We have over 200 people coming to learn about the Passover Meal. Also, May 2nd is our big church yard sale, so I will be doing that instead of the ministry that Saturday. If you have some stuff that you want to donate, let me know.

Keep praying for rain!!

Blessings to All,

Miss Ginny
